The NJ Color Run was this morning so Melissa, Debbie and I met up bright and early to run together. And by “bright and early” I mean, I was forced out of bed before the sun. Traffic was a million times better than last year so we ended up being in the third wave of runners.
Pre-race, we’re all nice and clean and looking like respectable young ladies.
Debbie brought her waterproof digital camera along so we could take some pictures in the mess. We broke it out for the orange station, because they had the best signs.
Also, notice how I’ve picked up a pink headband! It’s a bandana that the Color Run hype guy tossed into the crowd as we were standing at the start line. I’m pretty excited it’s pink. My color!
Post-race we were all pretty messy, but Melissa won for most color!
We skipped the post race color party last year but decided to join in this year. Mark took this picture, so I’m in the middle of that color cloud somewhere.
Afterwards, I was super colorful.
Mark didn’t run with us, but he was there being supportive. I love him so much!
Another change from last year, I opted to get blown off before getting in the car. It’s amazing how much color puffs off you when they do this!
It was a great, fun morning with some great friends. And now Debbie’s got her first 5k in the books!
Same time next year, girls?
