May & June Reads

Kate: The Making of a Princess - I started reading this at the end of April to coincide with the wedding. It was by no means the best book ever but it was interesting to learn about Kate's family history - and what William's family was doing at the same point in time.

Dead Reckoning - The latest installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series; I can't get enough of these books.

Gathering Blue - This is the second book in The Giver trilogy. I didn't realize that it was a series but I'm so glad I figured it out - I really enjoyed it.

Sweet and Deadly - Another from Charlaine Harris, this is a stand-alone book that was recently republished. Like all of Harris's other books, I enjoyed it.

Blue Bloods and
Masquerade - These are the first two books in the Blue Bloods series about teenage vampires in NYC. I picked them up because the author donated signed books to our upcoming Light the Night fundraiser and they're a lot of fun.

Bumped - I really liked the Jessica Darling series so I was looking forward to Meghan McCafferty's latest. It was a weird, futuristic look at a society where teenage pregnancy is okay. It was both disturbing and entertaing.

101 Poems to Get You through the Day (and Night) - This was a collection from a variety of different poets. It was interesting reading very different styles on the same topic all together.

Divergent - This has recieved a lot of great reviews - and a lot of comparisons to The Hunger Games, which I loved. I was excellent and I can't wait for the follow up.
