My Kitchen's Been Busy with Easter Prep

For us, this weekend will be full of family. We'll be with Mark's extended family this afternoon and with my family tomorrow. Of course, this means lots and lots of food and, of course, I waited until yesterday to prep my portion of the feasts. Here are the results of our all-evening cook-a-thon:

My Grandma's marinaded carrots

Both of those will go with us today. And for tomorrow:

Mark's Grandma's Easter Bread
Chocolate Chip Cheesecake
Everything looks so good! I'm pretty proud of myself. Another reason to be proud: I finished week five of the Couch to 5k program today - it was a twenty minute run! I couldn't believe I lasted the whole twenty minutes! It's shaping up to be a good weekend around here.
Do you have anything good planned for the weekend?

  1. Any way I could get the recipe for that peanut butter candy? It looks like something that I received for a Christmas present and it was sooooo good! I wanted to learn to make it myself!

    Everything looks super yummy!

If you're cool with sharing the recipe can you send it to me at realitybyrachael@hotmail[dot]com? Thanks chica!

    Have a wonderful Easter! =)

  2. Wow! Those all look great! Yummy!

The candy sure looks a lot like the chocolate graham crackers bars I made at Christmas! Here's the link to it, it's the second picture down:
