5 Weeks Vacation

2010 marks the third year I'm with my company so I'm entitled to an additional week of vacation time - bringing my total paid time off to 26 days, or 5 weeks and 1 day.

Sounds like an awful lot, doesn't it? I think so too.

I'll be taking some time off when my buddies Laura and Nicole visit - and probably some time around the house move and the holidays - but that still leaves plenty of time to do some traveling. Mark and I have been busy dreaming up where we'll go this year.

Some of the contenders are:
New Orleans

A Carribean Cruise

The Mall of America

Outer Banks of NC
Where would you go if you had 5 weeks of vacation to burn?

  1. The Mall of America is cool. It took us a day to see the whole mall but I would do the cruise. Wherever you chose, have fun! And you are lucky to have 5 weeks off, I don't think I even get that.

  2. I wish I had 5 weeks off! I get two weeks vacation and two weeks sick but I never get sick, so the time is just piling up! As for me, I would probably do the cruise (I went on one last year and it was AWESOME) but with five weeks, you could probably do 2-3 things on your list :).

  3. I think I'd go on a cruise but only a 2 week one. And then I'd go to Easter Island!

  5. Fun! Of those four, I think New Orleans- and you guys like to camp, right? Maybe head down to the gulf coast for some camping, too?
If I were you, I'd also take a peak at Costa Rica ecotourism adventures. I think you'd love it. You can't go wrong.

  6. I would have to go with New Orleans as well. Dad went there for a week and had a blast. He even took one of their classes at a cooking school. He got his diploma in the mail today. Then I would suggest Myrtle Beach.
