Christmas was Merry

I hope that you all had a very merry Christmas full of good food and good company. We had a fantastic holiday that for all intents and purposes lasted until last night.

We trekked up to Mark's Uncle's house on Christmas Eve for his family's annual Christmas Party. After dinner, we exchanged secret Santa gifts. I think the gift opening this year was markedly more fun to watch this year because it's the first year of young kids that are old enough to get excited about presents.

I got a holiday set of MAC lipglosses, which I'm super excited about and Keri seemed to really like the scrapbook I made her.

After the party, we went to church to listen to the choir sing carols before Mass. After church, we went back to Mark's parents' house and exchanged gifts with each other before heading to bed. I was completely spoiled rotten. I got a new camera, memory card and carrying case, the first season of True Blood, the Cake Mix Doctor cookbook, a few more settings of our wedding china, new slippers and an assortment of other fun gifts.

Christmas Day we went to my parents'. Santa surprised them with a new TV so the boys moved around furniture and got it hooked up while the girls started cooking.

Saturday was kind of a recuperation day - and then Sunday my brother and sister came down to hang out. We did a bunch of shopping (after Christmas sales!), eating out (we had to introduce PJ to our favorite Chinese buffet - we approved) and played a game of Monopoly that took entirely too long. (For the record, I won.)

Mark is back to work today, which sort of makes it feel like Christmas break is over. I, on the other hand, took the whole week off. The prospect of still not having to work for the next five days? An amazing Christmas gift to myself!

Glad you had such a fun Christmas! I got a new super duper flash for my camera and was completely surprised!

Have fun with your lip glosses...I bet you look so pretty wearing them!

    Have a Happy New Year!
